Description

Kumaran Kundram is almost 40 years old and is located on the hillock in Chrompet, one of the suburban areas in Chennai. At this temple, Lord Murugan is worshipped as the powerful deity as it is similar to the one in Swamimalai town in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu. Apart from that, other shrines of Lord Shiva, Sharabeswarar, Ganesh and Navagrahas are also placed inside the temple. Every Friday and Sunday, special prayers are recited at the temple and crowds begin to gather every Sunday from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. The temple also houses a small auditorium where musical programmes and prayer meetings are conducted. And that's not it! You can also enjoy a panoramic city view from the top of the hill.
