Inaugurated in April 2012 and spread across 1.5 acres of land, the Sri Radha Krishna Temple of ISKCON is the largest Radha Krishna temple in Tamil Nadu. Located on the East Coast Road, the main deities at the temple are Krishna and Rukmini. Apart from them, other deities that are worshipped here include Jagannath, Baladeva, Subhadra and Gaura-Nitai. The temple also houses the idol of Satyabhama who is one amongst the eight wives of Krishna. The temple is built on five levels. It has a 7000 square feet temple hall, prasadam hall and an auditorium for conducting spiritual programs. Admire the beautiful chakras carved on the marble floor at the entrance of the temple that denotes the bhu-mandal (universe representation). You can buy books and souvenirs based on Hindu philosophy from the bookstore located inside the temple premises.
