Terminals
There are 2 terminals with four entry gates at the airport, two each at both the terminals. There are 5 X-ray baggage facilities at the domestic terminal and 2 at the international terminal.

Transport Modes To Reach
There isn't direct connection between the airport and Chennai city centre, the Suburban railway station is at 2 km and Central Chennai Railway Station is at 25 km.
AC Minibuses-There is a mini bus from the Airport to CMBT with AC which doesn't has a fixed schedule: The driver just waits for the bus to be full to begin the trip to Chennai. Trips are from Chennai Airport to CMBT (Koyambedu). Frequency: Every 30 minutes.
The Metropolitan Transport Corporation serve four buses which run on two routes, Anna Nagar or Egmor.
Taxi-Prepaid taxis are available outside the terminal building at the taxi lines. Chennai Airport Car Rental, Mary Matha Cabs, Aviation Express Airport Car Rental and Zoomcars, Radio Taxi, Uber,Ola,Car Rental,Self Driving cab.Major international car rental companies such Avis, Hertz and Europcar can be found within the airport facilities as well.
Auto rickshaw-You can pick it up anywhere, also in Chennai International Airport outside the Terminal building.
