Surrounded by small hills, Galtaji temple is dedicated to the Sun God, Balaji and Lord Hanuman. Built in 18th century by Diwan Rao Kriparam, the temple is beautifully constructed using pink sandstone and appears more like a palace than a traditional temple building. Topped by rounded roofs, there are some exclusive paintings and carvings that adorn the walls of the temple. Being a huge complex, the building comprises of pavilions, temples, natural springs and holy kunds (for which the temple is quite famous). Many pilgrims who come here first take a dip in the natural spring water to cleanse their souls and then enter the temple complex.
